The Meteorite Hunter
Using the notion of the Meteorite as a metaphor for the fantastical hidden in the everyday, the body of work is a document of a hunt to locate the ethereal and sublime in the mundane and banal.
The resulting archive acts as evidence to this search, documenting the accumulation of artefacts overlooked in search of the exotic. Using these ideas, the work aims to challenge our preconceptions of our surroundings and question the parallels between our own world and our imaginations.
Her work has been exhibited widely with upcoming shows in the US and UK. Most recently, she has been shortlisted for the Paris Photo Aperture Foundation First PhotoBook Award for her series The Meteorite Hunter.As well as working on her own projects, she has assisted photographers Joel Meyerowitz, Tim Walker and Venetia Dearden and currently works for Photoworks Magazine.
