"Betty and I"

Betty and I

Childhood goes from birth to about the twelfth year of life. It is a period of big change, of physical, mental and emotional development. The images in this series were taken during a long period in 1950s and show two sisters that have different ages and personalities, but were dressed exactly the same way. This may be an expression of a time or a society in which the form took over the content. The original images are slides mounted on glass, as well as, photos on paper, taken from a family archive.
