What do we want from art? What do I expect from you? What do we think about millenials and current generation of youngest artist? How do they see their prospective, how do they form their possibilities and identities? Our exhibition gathers not only students of photography at FAMU. But also respective group of artist connected not only by their conditions but also in the way they address them. In first room we face the guise, the artificiality of our identities with projects based on play with local masks and stereotypization (Veronika Čechmánková) and the concept avatars and virtual identities (Erika Štěpánková). The other room presents various ways in which we deal with the construction and deconstruction of our selves. Fashion takes great deal of importance in terms of our identification (Jakub Ra). But we have even an emergency hotline here, that wittily overturns the human machine relation (Richard Janeček). Finally, the tension between fake and real, mask and self, between me and my ego unravel in the guise of hard and soft material. Plastics and foam bend and mold in the steel framework in objects of Klára Jakešová. Presented artist challenge their account of identity and community. Rather then to reflect or engage with critique of current problems, they try to articulate their own problems with surveillance, consumerism, self presentation online or their relation to traditions or roles.
