Ossos is a study in which I explore the potential of a large format camera, conceiving each image as a project in itself. Starting from subject matters or places I already had a subjective interest in – bones, trucks, a petrol station, etc, I discovered the technical and creative possibilities of this tool and adapted the photographic gesture from picture to picture depending on the visual characteristics of each of the subjects.
The images selected for this exhibition are a reflection of this exercise and this individual concern for the treatment of each image, while also allowing them to reveal a certain sculptural universe that emerged throughout the development of the project.
In the final printing stage I chose to try less conventional processes, thinking of the images as a series of posters stating the compositions as artistic objects and aiming to explore other possibilities for the presentation of the photographic result.
