The conversion of the digital archive of Encontros da Imagem – International Photography and Visual Arts Festival into a magma of pixels which can be rearranged and recomposed is the starting point for the visual installation that occupies the entrance hall of GNRation. This practice of frontier between the visual arts, performative and graphic creation emerges as a possibility of testing new tools, processes of creation and reading of the imaginary universe. For the present edition of Encontros da Imagem the invitation for an installation leads to an experience in a polychromatic environment of digital image, which translates a refined work of pixel reconfiguration taken from an atlas of images of the festival’s archive. A proposal of digital archaeology that develops fictional sequences and reshapes our perception of the images, of its context and intent. Hereby diluting hierarchies, types and rates of referral in order to build a framework of chromatic, uprooted and also poetic experience.
