I am collecting female portrait photographs from 1870-1910 where the depicted women look hysterical, domineered, ingenious, demented, suppressed, enlightened, whimsical, spiritually hopeful and sexually unfullfilled longing for death: DRAMA QUEENS Upon the unfullfilled women’s heads I place mushroom heads which segregate their spores upon the surface lying underneath originating lamellar circle outlines appearing as a mix of explosion and aura. This serendipitous image process generates extremely delicate aureoles and it seems as if these re-auratizations could transform the whole psychic dilemma, could palliate posthumously the psychological need as a nimbus to transform the portrayed into saints: AURA – HEALINGS Within my latest projects I ‘ve developped artistic photographic methods using chaos and chance to re-balance the paradoxical power and frailty of control. Using these experimental strategies I find myself more embedded in a spritual relation as an artist as well as a human being. In a very personal sense the „drama queens“ are psycho-shamanistic projection targets to get into contact with my unknown stillborn sister, to spiritually espouse her or just to talk about art with her. I am scanning theses pictorial uniques and print an edition.
