Wonders of Water
Galeria do Teatro Gil Vicente
Largo Dr. Martins Lima 1
Tuesday→Friday: 10am–6pm
This collection of photographies, captured by the photographer João Falcão, take us on a wondrous journey through the four corners of the world, revealing the beauty and vital importance of water in all of its forms.
The photographer tried to show us the majesty of the oceans, with their imposing waves and dramatic coastline landscapes. The tranquility of rivers meandering through lush landscapes, and the energy of waterfalls.
In this exhibition, João Falcão sought to witness the symbioses between water and wildlife, to uncover the vital importance of water to shape the ecosystems, sustaining the rich biodiversity of plants and animals that coexist in harmony.
These photographs also explore the water abstract art, capturing reflexes, textures and patterns that invite us to reflect about its essence and meaning.
With 'Wonders of Water', we are led to celebrate water as the essence of life, the matrix force of nature and an endless source of inspiration. This exhibition is a call for the appreciation and preservation of our planet.
