ISSP International Masterclass

In this edition, the Festival sought to promote the training strand, by establishing a strong partnership with the International Summer School of Photography – ISSP, who aspires to impel and to enlarge the participation and access to visual education.The guiding line followed by the Festival editions aims to privilege a strand of training, empowering the incentive and the interaction among all the involved in it. In this way, to complement the central planning of the festival, it was scheduled a workshop program focusing on the most consistent tendencies of nowadays, directed to a specialised audience. This is an international education program and networking on the basis of practice, developed over one year. The program, conceived in regard to the emerging photographers, started in March 2015, and has now a session in Braga-Portugal, through the Festival Encontros da Imagem. The first series of Master classes (2015/2016) offer in its syllabus, workshops with Aaron Schuman – “Labyrinths: Exploring Photographic Paths”, Yuri Kozyrev and Andrei Polikanov “Beyond Photojournalism”.
